As for possible programs:
For a trip StGeorge Hill (Szent György-hegy) is the best choice, it takes a half- an- hour walk to reach
the top of the hill, which offers an amazing panorama. Csobánc Hill is another excellent choice. You
can park your car at the foot of the hill in Gyulakeszi, from where a rocky, whin stone path leads to
the top with the ruins. The trip takes about one hour, but not suitable for families with babies in a
stroller. The stones are quite slippery, especially downhill. Since there are not many shady places it is
recommended to start the trip early in the morning. The top is a popular starting point for
parachuters and offers a winderful view.
Gulács Hill cannot be climbed.
The heart of the nearby town, Tapolca gives you a nice cosy mood, and also offers a beautiful, half-
an -hour walk round the mill pound, just a few steps away from the city center. Lake Cave in Tapolca:
you should buy tickets online, because in summer it is full of visitors and the queue may take several
hours if you don’t have a reservation online.
Szigliget offers a full day’s picnic because of the ruins of a fortress on the top and the Balaton beach.
Szigliget is very busy in the evenings and it has an excellent ice-cream and pastry shop just at the foot if the castle hill.
Keszthely can be reached in 30 or 45 minutes by car, and offers the pretty Festetics Palace and
Exhibitions from 18th and 19th centuries, the Helikon Park and Island Beach.
Zalaegerszeg is another town that you can reach in one hour, nice area with a fishing lake, if you may
be interested.
Restaurants: In Tapolca Dream Team Restaurant: good pizzas, pastas, in Keszthely the Tompos
Restaurant, good to make a reservation one day ahead.
Covid-19
The safest way to spend a holiday now is to spend time with your family, during which, if you do not want to, you will not meet another person, there is no mass scene during meals and bathing. You can spend most of your holiday outdoors with us, within closed walls. We also fight the virus to provide a safe, healthy environment.
During the cleaning with professional disinfectants, we use hotel quality materials, we leave a one-day empty period between the arrival of two guests, and we use a mask and gloves during the meetings. Liquid soaps with a disinfectant effect were placed in the bathrooms, the bed linen and towels were washed at a high temperature, but we have multiple amounts of bed linen, so the same washed towels and bed linen will not be returned to the next guests within a week.
During the cleaning, the handles and bathroom sanitary ware are always washed with a disinfectant. We follow the recommendations of the manual of the Hungarian Tourism Agency, so we can provide virus-free houses in which you can have fun.
